More house stuff: something I forgot to mention in the previous post was that the problems with the home office/upper room of the addition where it's not attached well to the main home are still present and aren't caused by the settlement/foundation issues. Short version of house status update from the last postAs of this morning, I've now met with the structural engineer and an insurance adjustor. The damage to the addition - both the upstairs home office and now also the downstairs sunroom - appears to have been caused by water drainage misdirected from the gutter downspout against the basement ( Read more... )
